Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy unit. The ideal candidate will provide excellent nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on patient education and support.

Duties

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, ensuring they understand the process.
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care.
• Administer medications and sedation as necessary and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and their families about post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Meditech.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Endoscopy or a similar acute care setting.
• Inpatient care experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Active TX State RN license.
• ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications required.
• Experience with endoscopic procedures and patient management preferred.
