Job Duties and Qualifications The Technical Planner is part of the Center of Excellence (COE) Real Estate Services team, with emphasis on the design, planning and execution of drilling fluids and dry bulk plants globally.
In the initial project stage, the Technical Planner is responsible for translating business requirements to feasible engineering designs. This includes the layout, equipment specification, cost estimation and schedule estimation of Halliburton plants. During the project delivery phase, the role supports our local and regional design and construction teams to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and advise the local team on risks and technical solutions.
The position will closely work with regional and local stakeholder teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Key Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, process or industrial engineering. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu.
• 10-year minimum experience working directly with civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation projects.
• Experience of engaging with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in the design and construction of liquid mud plant, dry bulk plants.
• Proficient in English Oral and written.
• Hold valid passport.
• Hold valid driver's license.
• HSE cultured, ability to ensure safe working environments in line with Halliburton, local and international regulations.
• Experience working in remote and foreign locations, acceptable to multi-cultural and diversified work environments.
Key Responsibilities: • Engage with stakeholders to determine project requirements in conjunction with customer tender documents.
• Develop outline designs for plants and provide detailed equipment lists.
• Participate in HAZID and HAZOP studies.
• Review facility design packages and Contractor SOW requirements.
• Support with technical reviews on vendor bids for equipment and/or installation.
• Support with plant design reviews and propose design optimization.
• Support Halliburton Project Managers with routine project update meetings.
• Support PMs with reviewing and creating internal change controls.
• Conduct vendor visits when necessary to determine capability or validate build quality and progress.
• Supervise installation activities and ensure installation, is being performed in line with approved designs.
• Support PMs with validating cost and variation requirements.
• Troubleshoot onsite design clashes and propose solutions to PMs when necessary.
• Support plant commissioning process and support PMs with preparing and presenting facility handover documentation.
