FLSA Status: Exempt
Hours: Full-Time. MondayThursday is 8am-5pm with the option to work from home on Tuesday. Friday is a work from home, half-day from 8am-12pm.
Salary Range: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Hurrdat is one of a kind. A media, marketing, and entertainment agency.
We were founded in Lincoln, Nebraska as a small team of two in 2010, offering social media services to brands and athletes. After a decade of growth later we have grown to be a uniquely well-rounded marketing and advertising agency with in-house media, sports, entertainment, and film divisions.
Mergers and acquisitions over the years (with B2 Interactive, Disconnected Media, Digital Hero Films, Victory Fighting Championship, Hail Varsity, and Parkville Media) have grown our team to over 150 people.
We serve over 200 clients who collectively operate in 8 countries, including 43 states in the United States. Our clients range from local businesses just starting to build their brand and online presence to enterprise organizations.
About the role:
As the Senior Social Media Strategist you will be challenged to use your strengths in writing, developing unique marketing concepts, and strategic execution to help our local and national clients reach and engage their audiences. You will work closely with members of the content, media, and design teams to help identify opportunities and build creative, concise strategies around them. In addition, you will use paid social media efforts to augment your campaign effectiveness. Authenticity and follow-through are necessary. Whether you are meeting with a client to discuss analytics or pitching an idea to our team, you must be willing to own your wins and losses and share them to make yourself, our clients, and our team better.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Develop and execute innovative social media strategies.
Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns for a variety of clients.
Monitor and translate data into actionable and compelling content.
Engage clients' online communities through outreach and community management.
Lead weekly team meetings, as well as client check-in and reporting meetings.
Collaborate with Business Development team on new business opportunities.
Generate copy in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Manage monthly content calendars to ensure that strategist's campaigns are on brand, relevant, and meet the client's objectives and uncover additional campaign opportunities.
Provide high level customer service to ensure clients are receiving value throughout their campaign.
Collaborate with paid acquisition team to monitor monthly ad spend for our clients to ensure that campaigns are on budget, allocations are correct, and aid in generating ad hoc reports to help uncover campaign inefficiencies and opportunities.
Deliver edited, relevant copy for social networks, blogs, and websites.
Research competitors and build strategies to advance Hurrdat clients.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
5 years of related industry experience including leadership or management experience.
Strong understanding of copywriting, social media, and digital marketing.
Proven ability to manage projects independently.
Outstanding creative, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to stay up to date on the latest digital marketing offerings and trends impacting your position.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to multitask under time limits.
Ability to manage multiple content development and promotion initiatives and meet deadlines.
Must be a self-starter and senior team leader who understands the importance of being responsible to yourself and our team.
Should be able to have constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specific standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This role will constantly be in a leadership role; this requires managing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in the prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including ability to manage motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.
Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Work is normally performed in a typical office environment.
Should have open availability for live event coverage possible on nights and weekends.
Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods.
