Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Cardiac Intervention Radiology (IR) / Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) / Midline Catheter placement nurse is responsible to ensure patient safety during the Interventional Radiology Lab procedures. The IR/PICC Nurse is responsible for maintaining communication with the physician and RN to keep the flow throughout the day. The IR/PICC Nurse is responsible for staying abreast of changes to department and industry standards.

Required Qualifications: - Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- The qualified candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program, possess a current CA RN license and have completed a PICC Certification program; current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and BLS certification; 12 Lead EKG interpretations required. Minimum Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a nurse including a minimum of 1 year experience as a PICC Line nurse.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Critical care background; ability to identify and interpret ECG Rhythms, knowledge of cardiac medications. Experience working in the ICU or Emergency Department.
