Mains’l Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team of five in our Brooklyn Park, MN office. In this role, you'll help us maintain our reputation for excellence through a strong commitment to meticulous production.

Core Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Analyst

The ideal candidate will assist the IT department with a wide range of projects in testing and knowledge documentation to support the development team. The QA Analyst will create and maintain test scenarios and test cases, execute tests to ensure development satisfies all requirements, and identify and log all bugs. Additionally, the QA Analyst will work with the Quality Assurance Engineer to conduct system testing and publish test results to stakeholders. This individual should be comfortable creating and cleaning up test data. The QA Analyst’s motivation should be to strive for excellence while facilitating testing, supporting development, and ensuring quality to deliver systems that meet or exceed client expectations.

Testing includes, but is not limited to:

  • Coordinating all aspects of testing activities, performing testing on various software systems, and owning the quality of projects
  • Working with the QA Engineer to create the Test Strategy and Test Plan
  • Identifying test scenarios, writing, and executing test cases
  • Reviewing and clarifying requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Generating test data for short- and long-term application needs
  • Documenting reported bugs to ensure development fixes and re-testing as needed
  • Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures and documentation as necessary
  • Documenting quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits
  • Effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical sides of the business in a clear and concise manner
  • Creating, documenting, and performing regression, interface, and performance testing to ensure live features still perform after changes. This includes, but is not limited to, testing bug fixes, enhancements, and configuration changes
  • Creating and maintaining test suites
  • Proactively contributing, offering recommendations, and identifying risks and solutions for test processes and strategies

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of QA Analyst experience required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Quick learner with effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Candidates must be willing to undergo training
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience with software testing in Agile methodology
  • Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements
  • Familiarity with a test management system such as Xray, HP ALM, Testmo, qTest, TestRail, Zephyr, QMetry, etc.

Salary Range: $59,266.00 - $71,546.00, Depending on Experience
