Production Planner/Scheduler
We are seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler with exceptional interpersonal skills and a background in Machining, Fabrication, and/or assembly in Manufacturing Industry. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to effectively manage a diverse cross-functional team, coupled with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, team-building, planning, and decision-making competencies are essential for success in this role.
What You'll Be Doing
Reviewing production orders and schedules to determine product specifications.
Building, modifying, and maintaining safety programs for facility use.
Studying engineering documents and designs before fabrication and materials procurement.
Managing lead times and project timelines.
Setting timely goals for each production stage.
Setting department objectives/KPIs, reviewing ongoing performance, and reporting on target achievements.
Managing and leading the team, handling staffing, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, and disciplinary matters.
Providing technical expertise to the team.
Planning production operations, establishing priorities, and sequences for manufacturing products efficiently.
Preparing operational schedules and coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure product quality meets specifications.
Reviewing production and operating reports, resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
Resolving employee issues and fostering a high-performance production team.
Training and mentoring team members on Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques.
Ensuring plant cleanliness and organization with a focus on continual shop floor improvement.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.
Technical proficiency with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment
This position operates in an office environment with equal time in the plant. The employee is regularly exposed to various conditions within the plant, with a moderate noise level. Exposure to manufacturing conditions, including heat in the summer months and cold in the winter months, is expected.
Physical Demands
The physical demands include standing, squatting, bending, and walking, with the possibility of climbing ladders and standing on equipment off the ground. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
