For more than 35 years, Uptown Rental Properties has established a legacy of unsurpassed customer service and operational excellence in the management of apartment communities throughout our portfolio, which offers the finest quality and most diverse housing options throughout Greater Cincinnati. We are currently looking for a hard-working, skilled Porter for our beautiful property in Downtown Cincinnati! This portfolio consists of five buildings, 300 units, and does involve indoor and outdoor work. Porters are responsible for: interior & exterior grounds maintenance, trash removal-including the use of compactor, snow removal, and other light maintenance duties as assigned. This position is Full-Time , Monday-Friday , with rotating weekends. Compensation is $15.50/hour with paid training, room for growth, tools & uniforms provided, and eligibility for the benefits listed below:

Porter responsibilities:

• Manage work orders via iPhone app
• Trash management, including the use of a compactor
• Litter/trash collection in exterior and interior common areas
• Gutter cleaning
• Pet station maintenance
• Leaf blowing
• Salting walkways
• Moving furniture, appliances, etc. as needed
• Ability to work independently
• Positive, collaborative team player
• Other duties as assigned

Porter requirements:

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Field Technician/Porter/Grounds experience preferred
• Work independently to complete assigned tasks within given timeframe
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact with residents of varying ages and backgrounds
• Ability to pass criminal background check and motor vehicle reporting

• Ability to meet physical requirements:

  • The position is considered to have moderate to heavy physical demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to climb up to nine feet on ladders, work in overhead structures, walk, stand, twist, stoop, bend, squat, and kneel at least 90% of the workday. The employee will occasionally be required to lift, carry and/or move in excess of 100 pounds and frequently be required to lift, carry and/or move in excess of 50 pounds during the normal course of a workday
