Job Description

JOB TITLE: Morning Show Host HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm; other hours, as needed. JOB TYPE: Part-time with potential for Full-time REPORTS TO: Director of Programming COLLABORATES WITH: Directors and Hosts SUPERVISES: Program Manager JOB OVERVIEW: Assists with programming and hosting The Catholic Morning Show. Supports Iowa Catholic Radio Network events. Works with other team members to ensure the successful execution of network events including, but not limited to, the Spring and Fall Fundraiser weeks, Men's Stag Event, and Annual Golf Outing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides input for planning, scheduling, and hosting the weekday Morning Show Assist with the planning and executing of network events, promotions, community engagement and expansion outreach Assist with Development and Underwriting leads for mission support Provide content for social media Available to assist with live remote broadcasts Proficient, or willingness to become proficient with broadcast equipment for increased broadcast opportunities Meets with outside supporters and benefactors on an as-needed basis Be knowledgeable and current with other Catholic media Cultivate and maintain relationships with representatives and leaders in the four Diocese of Iowa Position ICR to be a microphone for all things Catholic Basic understanding of roles of other morning show team members and ability to support as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Radio hosting and production experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Highly organized and detail oriented. A strong understanding of the Catholic Faith. Faithful to the Magisterium of the Church Must be attuned to what is happening within the four dioceses being served and understand what is of importance to our listening audience. Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done in a timely fashion. Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, and honor commitments in a time-sensitive environment. Willingness to be on camera. Fundamental understanding of non-profit work, or fundraising is helpful.
