Hello! My name is Bethanne and I'm the Area Manager for Thrive, a group of play-based learning preschools located in the greater Denver, Colorado area. We're looking for a motivated and hands-on maintenance technician to join our team!

The About Us Part

Thrive is a nurturing and supportive community of early childhood professionals that are passionate about the importance of, and interplay between, play and discovery. We currently have four locations, and as we continue to grow as an organization, our desire is to build a team of educators and support staff that can grow with us and expand into new roles, experiencing both professional and personal growth.

  • Ability to climb ladders, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

The Responsibilities Part

As the maintenance technician your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks required to provide students, faculty and staff with safe, attractive, clean and efficient facilities. These will include managing the repair and maintenance of school systems, including building upkeep and repair, groundskeeping, and the construction or assembly of playground equipment and toys for the schools. You will also be required to keep and maintain records surrounding the maintenance for each school in order to document when repairs have occurred and what their costs are over time.

The list of responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine building maintenance such as repairing, maintaining and/or replacing doors, door hardware, window coverings, plumbing pipes, HVAC systems, flooring, ceiling tile, furniture, fire alarms, light fixtures and emergency lights/ bulbs/ballasts, switches, outlets, lavatories, toilets, urinals, soap & towel dispensers, etc. Adherence to child care state health and safety standards in all areas is required at all times and schools are subject to state inspection multiple times per year.

The Benefits Part

We have strong beliefs about keeping harmony between work and life for all of our staff, and those beliefs drive all of the benefits we offer.

We believe that time is our most valuable resource:

  • 4 weeks of fully paid holidays and breaks, spread across federal holidays and school-specific break periods
  • Up to 80 hours of paid time off each year in addition to the holidays and breaks

We believe in caring for others now and into the distant future:

  • Employer sponsored insurance for medical, dental and vision coverage.

The Goodbye Part

If you're interested in providing a brighter future for our children, please reach out and tell us why you'd be a great part of our team! That's what we're all here for: to question.

Sincerely,

Bethanne Rodriguez
