About the Role

You will be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of our 7-acre campus, including 7 buildings that clients and team members use daily to transform the lives of over 3,000 homeless and near-homeless individuals each year.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Facilities Manager and Operations Director in making sure Our House is a safe and healthy environment for our staff and residents.
  • Help maintain Our House property such as grounds, buildings, and vehicles.
  • Assist in general maintenance on items such as HVAC, grounds equipment, minor plumbing, etc. 
  • Report any issues that may arise with buildings and equipment that require major repairs.
  • Develop good relationships with department heads and directors to assist with needs that are within your ability.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with residents, job trainees, and clients that are receiving our services and working on the facilities team.
  • Provide clear communication with staff when action is needed to ensure the environment is safe of hazards.
  • Aid in the occasional task of helping direct traffic flow and parking for events that are held on our campus.
  • Assist vendors when needed for inspections or repairs to our campus.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned to fulfill Our House’s mission.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Background in building and grounds maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to perform assigned job task in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reliability and punctuality to perform daily duties. 
  • Willingness to continue learning and growing if opportunities are presented.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass criminal background checks, child and adult maltreatment registry checks, sex offender registry checks, and a pre-employment drug screen.
