Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lobby Attendant to join our team at Ashland Hills Hotel. As a Lobby Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service will ensure that our guests have a memorable experience. You will work closely with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure that all areas of the hotel are well-maintained and meet our 4-diamond level of service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Experience with landscaping or groundskeeping
  • Experience with hotel maintenance tasks
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use

Responsibilities:

  • Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting
  • Maintain a clean and organized lobby area
  • Assist with hotel maintenance tasks as needed
  • Perform landscaping duties such as watering plants and maintaining outdoor areas
  • Scrub and scour surfaces as needed
  • Operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers
  • Maintain flexibility and fairness when working with guests and colleagues
  • Work around a variety of chemicals in a safe and responsible manner

Skills:

As a Lobby Attendant, you will use your janitorial skills to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. Your ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds will be essential to your success in this role. You will also use your communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with guests and colleagues. Your attention to detail and knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment will ensure that all areas of the hotel are well-maintained and meet our 4-diamond level of service. Additionally, your flexibility and fairness will help you navigate a variety of situations and provide exceptional service to our guests.
