GitLab Engineer

Job Summary:
Purisolve, Inc. seeks a talented and experienced GitLab Engineer who is a U.S. Citizen to join our dynamic team. As a GitLab Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of our enterprise GitLab and PostgreSQL databases within our DevSecOps CICD pipeline. This role involves working collaboratively across organizational teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our GitLab infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and GitLab, along with a strong understanding of DevSecOps practices.

Minimum General Experience :
The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience with PostgreSQL, particularly in the context of GitLab. The candidate must have firsthand experience with GitLab High Availability clustering, managing environments with over 3,000 users. Experience with GitLab GEO across active/active sites is highly desirable. Additional experience in integrating GitLab with ServiceNow and Qualys, as well as a solid understanding of CICD pipelines and DevSecOps practices, is a plus. Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is also required.

Functional Responsibilities :
The GitLab Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting the enterprise GitLab and PostgreSQL environments. This includes ensuring high availability of GitLab services, managing clustering, and integrating GitLab with other tools such as ServiceNow and Qualys. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and optimize the DevSecOps CICD pipeline. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, performing regular maintenance, ensuring security compliance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the GitLab environment. The engineer will also be required to support and maintain the RHEL infrastructure underlying the GitLab and PostgreSQL environments.

Minimum Requirements :

• Deep, hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, specifically in a GitLab environment
• Proven experience with GitLab High Availability clustering for large-scale environments (3,000+ users)
• Familiarity with GitLab GEO across active/active sites (preferred)
• Experience with CICD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• U.S. Citizen (required)
• Registered for Selective Service (if male)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
