Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team and play a key role in analyzing user requirements, developing system specifications, and leading design and development activities. In this position, you will guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. Your technical leadership will be crucial in integrating requirements, design, and technology, and ensuring the successful implementation of new plans, designs, and systems.

Requirements

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Required skills:

• Experience in Network Information Service and UNIX/LINUX operating systems, including RedHat or CentOs
• Experience with developing and implementing system configuration scripts in Python, Perl, Java, ksh, csh, Bourne, or Bash
• Experience with providing support to IT systems, including day-to day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution of all of client, server, storage, and network devices
• Experience with applying operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrading administrative tools and utilities
• Experience drafting and updating technical requirements, engineering documents, configuration documents, training manuals, and troubleshooting processes
• Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication
