WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a seasoned Creative Director (Copy) with a proven track record of digital excellence and team leadership. The ideal candidate should be able to give writers and designers work-perfecting feedback, collaborate across disciplines, masterfully sell creative ideas and cultivate trusted client relationships. We’re looking for someone who is a champion of the work, building long standing client relationships and thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of leading digital efforts for multiple major appliance brands.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Guide integrated teams to deliver work that’s highly relevant, utilizing strategic insights to inform creative decisions
• Inspire team members across disciplines to deliver breakthrough creative work and a variety of solutions to any one challenge
• Thoughtfully engineer the entire customer journey through channel, platform and the entire site experience
• Have the ability to bring a creative POV to the work through concepting to execution in partnership with our teams and our clients
• Present creative work to clients, blending compelling storytelling, best practices and rationale—and teach others to do the same
• Mentor and grow all levels of writers and designers at all levels, mentoring them to develop their skills and confidence
• See projects through from start to finish, keeping key stakeholders in-tune to a project’s progress
• Collaborate with account leads and project/resource managers to assemble the right team for projects
• Foster trusted relationships with clients that retain and grow business

WHAT YOU BRING

• Online portfolio required; highlighting results from the execution will help you stand out
• 10+ years of experience in creative leadership roles, preferably in digital-first consumer brands
• Expertise in digital strategy and product launch marketing
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing creative teams
• Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to manage and resource multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as English, Marketing/Advertising, Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience

The annual salary range for this role in the Chicago market is $150k - $170k in base pay, which will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on experience, skills, training, certifications, education, etc., and will be informed by market data.
