Today’s hotel building had been abandoned for many years. We renovated it very carefully and made it a modern four-star hotel located in the heart of Görlitz.
Several rooms feature remarkable 16th-century ceiling painting, and there are some original inscriptions on the staircase walls dating back to 1480. As a record of the past, they were carefully restored by working in collaboration with experienced architects under close supervision of the Office for Culture and Historical Monument Preservation in Dresden.
In a cosy breakfast room you will see a very well-preserved groined vault. Another unique feature of the Renaissance is the Acqua Manila from 1516. You will find the exact replica of the original artwork in the double room located on the first floor. There are also some well-preserved, original inscriptions in the staircase leading to the first floor.
